The Los Angeles Dodgers sent a special message to the UCLA Basketball team as the Bruins head into the first weekend off the NCAA Tournament.

It is always good have support from your fan base, but it is something special when another sports team backs your team’s playoff run.

That is what happened for the UCLA Basketball team when they got a message from a few members of the Los Angeles Dodgers as the Bruins prepare for the NCAA Tournament.

The Bruins just had one of their most successful regular seasons in a while as they went 29-4, a huge turnaround from their 15-17 2015-16 season.

More from Go Joe Bruin

Behind Freshman point guard Lonzo Ball, the Bruins finished 3rd in the Pac-12 and received a 3-seed in the NCAA Tournament.

This got the attention of city sports neighbor, the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have a lot of connections to UCLA.

Both Manager Dave Roberts and Eric Karros, both former members of the UCLA Baseball team, gave their support to the Bruins, along with Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson, via Twitter.

The support from the Dodgers organization is huge and should be a major boost for the UCLA Basketball team.

Talk about a vote of confidence from the Boys in Blue to the Blue and Gold!
