The UCLA Basketball Teams has another All-American to boast about as Lonzo Ball has been named an All-American by USA Today and the Sporting News.

UCLA Basketball freshman point guard Lonzo Ball has been named an All-American by USA Today and The Sporting News and we are not shocked. This is one of many that should come in the next few days.

What can you say about this kid? He did it all for UCLA.

Not only did he bring the offense together, but was often the spark that got the Bruins going, even on defense.

On the season Ball averaged 14.9 points, 7.8 assists and 6.2 rebounds per game. On top of that he broke the Pac-12 freshman season record for assists with 241, passing up Gary Payton who had 229.

What Ball did this season is nothing short of amazing.  He had taken a 15-17 team and turned them into one of the top programs in the country.

With him at the helm, UCLA was not only the top scoring team in the nation but had the best field-goal percentage amongt all Division I schools. He also lead the nation in assists.

But it is not over for UCLA though, it is now time to start tournament season.

With all that Ball has done this year, it will be exciting to see what type of show he will put on in the Pac-12 and NCAA Tournament.
