The UCLA Basketball team has a list of reasons for being ranked high in the AP Poll and considered for a #1 or #2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but will they get it?

The UCLA Basketball team is indeed one of the hottest programs in the country right now and continued to prove it after beating #4 Arizona in Tucson last night.

The Bruins are not just rolling, but they are giving several reasons why they are one of the top teams in the country, if not the top team.

A few weeks ago, the Bruins got a slap in the face when the NCAA Bracket Preview was revealed and had them as the #15 overall team, good for the #4 seed in the East Region despite being ranked 10th in the AP Poll.

More from Go Joe Bruin

Last week, the Bruins were once again selected as a #4 seed, but this this time it was ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and his weekly Bracketology that had the Bruins seeded so low despite being the #5 team in the nation according to the AP Poll.

Well after beating the #4 team in the nation last night in their own house — and #1 Gonzaga and #2 Villanova losing — the Bruins have a good chance of claiming the #2 or #3 spot in tomorrow’s AP Poll.

With that, there should be absolutely no reason why the Bruins should not be considered as a #1 or #2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The Bruins still have two games remaining on the regular schedule, and if they don’t fall flat on their face, UCLA could finish 28-3 heading into the post-season. Factoring in what should be a decent showing in the Pac-12 Tournament and the Bruins should be considered for a top spot in the Big Dance.

Either way, even if the Bruins get a bad seeding, teams need to be on alert. UCLA Basketball is one of the hottest (if not THE hottest) teams in the country right now. Whether they have a #1 or #4 seeding, the Bruins are going to do some damage in the post-season.
