In the next few weeks, Go Joe Bruin will have positional breakdowns of the UCLA Football team with MarkRogersTV, starting today with quarterbacks.

What National Signing Day over, fans of the UCLA Football team now have spring practice to look forward to and what the Bruins new offense will look like.

In the next several weeks, I will be joining Mark Rogers of MarkRogersTV to discuss and breakdown every positional group to get you ready for next season.

Today we start with the players UCLA has behind center heading into 2017.

More from Go Joe Bruin

In 2016, UCLA Football was not exactly lighting the world on fire with their offense. Starting quarterback Josh Rosen was looking to make a name for himself in his sophomore season, and it did not go as planned.

Despite a rocky transition to a pro-style, which did not help the offense, Rosen injured his shoulder and was out for the remainder of the season six games in. Former walk-on Mike Fafaul stepped up to try and finish what Rosen started, but it was not good.

Despite a very good defense, the Bruins could not run the ball or catch a pass which helped lead to a 4-8 record.

So with 2016 over and the Bruins looking towards the future,  Mark Rogers and I examine what the future holds at the quarterback position.

Rosen is expected back, but it has not been confirmed that he will play next season.  Luckily, the Bruins actually have more than one potential backup that could take over if Rosen cannot go.

But that  is the least of their worries. The Bruins are also adjusting to several coaching changes which includes bringing in new offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch.

Not only will Fisch be the mastermind behind the Bruins third offensive style in three years, but he will also take on the role as quarterbacks coach working directly with Rosen, Mike Lynch and Devon Modster. Rogers and I discuss all this and more in our first UCLA Football position group breakdown. Enjoy!
