The UCLA Women’s Basketball team holds their spot in the latest AP Top 25 after a huge blowout of Michigan to go 7-1.

Basketball is once again big in Westwood. The UCLA Women’s Basketball team are contributing to that with their strong showing this season which is getting national attention. In this week’s AP Poll, the Bruins remain at the #9 spot in the Top 25.

The Bruins are having an impressive year so far, having only lost to Baylor on the Bears’ home court. The Bruins were in a battle all game long but unfortunately the then-#2 Baylor team were able to pull out the 84-70 victory. Since then UCLA has rattled off six straight wins.

The Bruins’ latest victory, which was over Michigan this past weekend, also marked another milestone. It was the 18th game in a row in which the Bruins have beaten their opposition at Pauley Pavilion.

The Bruins remained at #9 due to the fact that there was no change in the top 10. Connecticutt still tops the AP Poll.

The Bruins will embark on one of their toughest stretches of games this season in the next week. Their next three contests are all on the road and will be against some stiff competition which will prepare them for Pac-12 Conference play.
