The #11 UCLA Basketball team are hanging with the #1 Kentucky Wildcats and have the lead going into the half, 49-45.

We have ourselves a game in Lexington! The UCLA Basketball team did not play their best half of basketball, but it was not their worst. In fact, despite getting run over and dunked on by the #1 team in the nation, UCLA has the lead.

That lead was capped from a loooooooong three-pointer from Lonzo Ball who hit his first shot of the game from way behind the arc to put UCLA up 49-45.

At halftime, UCLA is shooting 56.7% (18/31) and have “limited” UK to 42.5% (17/40). Off the bench, Aaron Holiday has a team-high 13 points.

The Bruins jumped out to a 7-3 lead early on, but Kentucky worked their way back in and on 11-0 run, sprinted past UCLA for a 14-7 lead, six minutes into the game.

From then until halftime, both UK and UCLA were trading dunks, baskets and defensive efforts.

Here are a few highlights from the first half.
