Last night during the UCLA Basketball game against Portland, LaVar Ball, father of freshman point guard Lonzo Ball, guaranteed a UCLA National Championship.
This UCLA Basketball team is much improved from last season. Not only are they turning heads but are doing so as the top scoring team in college hoops.
This has prompted a lot of emotion with this team, especially from those that are close to the situation.
Let us take LaVar Ball for example. Ball is the father of current UCLA PG Lonzo Ball. To say that he has confidence in his son and the Bruins is a bit of an understatement.
The senior Ball has been very outspoken about the play of his son and did so once again last night during UCLA’s first round contest in the Wooden Legacy tournament against Portland.
During the second half, Ball was interviewed by an ESPN reporter and the statement that came from him was a bit, well, take a look for yourself…

So there you have it. UCLA is going to win the National Championship, per LaVar Ball. It is a bold statement, especially since the Bruins have a few things they still need to work on (ex.: defense). So with that we say, “Go Bruins!”
