Senior guard Isaac Hamilton has been named to the Lute Olson Award watch list which honors the top Division I college basketball player.
The preseason accolades keep rolling in for the UCLA Basketball team as the Bruins get another player added to another watch list. Senior shooting guard Isaac Hamilton has been named as one of 50 players to the Lute Olson Award watch list which is given by CollegeInsider.com.
The award is given to the top Division I player in the nation that has played at least two seasons (transfers and incoming freshmen are not eligible).
This is the second accolade Hamilton has been named to as he was listed on the Jerry West Award watch list, honoring the top shooting guard in the nation.
Hamilton returns as the Bruins’ top scorer from last season as he put up 18.8 points per game. He was also had the third best shooting percentage (minimum 100 attempts) with .472 average behind Thomas Welsh and Tony Parker.
Hamilton was the spark plug for UCLA last season when they needed buckets. Hamilton scored in double digits in 27 consecutive games last season and displayed the skill to take over a game in the blink of an eye.

This year, Hamilton looks to play an integral part in the uptempo offense. With skilled point guard Lonzo Ball taking over, Hamilton will be the streaking, hot hand the Bruins need to attack the rim from the back court. It is going to be a fun time in Westwood this season, so Go Bruins!
