The UCLA Basketball team received a huge commitment to the 2017 class as 4-star PF Cody Riley has pledged his allegiance to the Bruins.
The 2017 recruiting class just got a lot better for the UCLA Basketball team as the top power forward in California, Cody Riley (Sierra Canyon School/Chatsworth, CA} has committed to the Bruins.
Riley is a large specimen (6’7″, 250 lbs.) that dominates the front court.
On offense he cleans up around the boards, often using his strength to maneuver through the opposition underneath the basket. His size and agility make it hard for defenders to stop him. On defense he is a beast that can block and redirect shots (that means defense Bruin fans!).
UCLA Head Coach Steve Alford has been on a roll with recruiting in the last couple of years and it seems to be steam rolling into the future.
The 2016 recruiting class was in the Top 5 nationally with the likes of
Lonzo Ball
,
T.J. Leaf
and
Ike Anigbogu
. During this year’s recruiting cycle, the Bruins could be vying for the top class in the country.
Riley joins an already excellent class that includes 5-star PG Jaylen Hands, 4-star C Jalen Hill and 3-star SG LiAngelo Ball. Riley had offers from Connecticut, Kansas, USC and Oklahoma.
