Last week, the UCLA Football team lost to Stanford 22-13. Last night, #7 Stanford lost to #10 Washington, 44-6. Let us dwell on that for a second.

So how could UCLA Football fans get as mad as they were after Stanford scored two touchdowns in the last 30 seconds of the game last weekend? Simple.

Stanford could not show up to this game and allow a now-proven Washington team to decimate them for four quarters and only allow just one score.

Now why would that infuriate UCLA fans? Well, seeing as the Bruins were in control for most of the Stanford game, only to go conservative in the end and hand the win over to Stanford was the start of all.

For Washington to completely beat down the Cardinal, which the Bruins could potentially have done, just makes everything that much more bitter. UCLA had a chance to show they were better than Stanford this year. They did not, Washington did.

Now there is no hate directed at the Huskies. What Head Coach Chris Petersen has done with his team incredible. All the props in the world go to him.

What does this say about the UCLA Football team? Nothing.

It is Stanford that grinds UCLA Football fan’s gears. The Cardinal seem to always have the last laugh with UCLA. Other teams do not have that problem. After last week, Stanford fans just laughed. After last night, Washington fans laughed and ran onto the field.

UCLA fans fell into madness, again. Although some of them also laughed at Stanford. It was cathartic.

Still, what does this say about the UCLA Football team? Nothing. The Bruins have their own things to focus on. What happens with Stanford does not affect UCLA if UCLA cannot handle their own business.
