UCLA Football: Bruins Open As Heavy Favorites Against UNLV

The UCLA Football team is heavily favored to win their second game of the season against an up-and-coming UNLV team this weekend at the Rose Bowl.

The UCLA Football team might have lost a heartbreaker to the Texas A&M Aggies, but they are still considered to be a very talented team.  So much that oddsmakers have made the Bruins 27-point favorites over their next opponent, the UNLV Rebels.

UCLA had come back from a 24-9 deficit in College Station this past weekend to force overtime. Unfortunately they couldn’t finish the job in extra time and will be heading into their home opener 0-1.

The Bruins will try and go to .500 with this upcoming game as they face an up-and-coming Rebels squad who look better than they did in 2015.

Last year in Las Vegas, the UCLA Football team routed UNLV 37-3 as the Bruins were able to control the game from the start and had limited UNLV in every facet of the game.

Though UNLV only won three games last season, a lot is expected of them in 2016 as they are already off to a hot start.

In their first game, UNLV had demolished Jackson State 63-13, but the Rebels are going to have their hands full when they travel to Pasadena to take on the Bruins.

After the way UCLA lost last weekend, the Bruins have a lot to work on before Saturday’s game, but should be more than ready.

Sophomore quarterback Josh Rosen did not have a stellar outing and took a lot of the blame on his shoulders because of it. Expect him any offense to have better production this weekend.

The Bruin defense will also look to improve on their performance against Texas A&M as they continue to fix their run defense.

Either way, it will be good to finally come back home in what should be an improved performance by the Bruins. Go Bruins!
