Former Texas A&M commit, 5-star quarterback Tate Martell, has opened his recruitment and might have a sweet spot for the UCLA Football team.

Recruiting. It is as predictable as the game of roulette. Players and coaches going ’round and ’round in circles trying to match up with each other. Sometimes it is a sure thing and sometimes it is a straight up gamble.

And sometimes the ball just lands at your fingertips.

Could that be the situation for the UCLA football team and 5-star QB Tate Martell? The highly touted dual-threat quarterback, who recently decommitted from Texas A&M, has four main suitors looking to acquire his services, which the Bruins are one of.

It will be a long time until Martell signs with a team, which means that every minute until then is time for coaches to heavily recruit him.

Though Martell may not give a solid commitment to any one program until the time is right, he could be dropping hints here and there… like this tweet he sent out today:

Very interesting. Martell is wearing a UCLA Baseball jersey, holding an NFL football and has tagged Adidas Football in his tweet. Now maybe it is just me, but he is linking a lot of things together that is pointing to UCLA being a favorite of his.

Whether that is true or not is yet to be seen, as it is a long way until Signing Day 2017 and a lot of factors can sway a recruit to one school or another.

Still, hopefully this is a good sign for the UCLA Football team long term and we can one day welcome Martell to the Bruin family.
