Utah: House Arryn
All about those mountains. House Arryn’s high-altitude perch in the Eyrie is borderline impregnable — unless you’re Bronn, of course (explicit language):
The warriors of the Vale are also well known for their valor on the field of battle. I won’t begin to say that there’s any real valor in playing sports, but on the other hand, it’s very true that no team relishes a game with Utah either on the gridiron or on the hardwood.
Utah fans really should embrace this and start referring to Rice-Eccles Stadium as “The Bloody Gate“.
And yes, we kept this section snark-free largely because the thought of the scores of BYU fans who alleged a surreptitious anti-BYU/pro-Utah agenda in our piece on their dirty football team last fall — because who cares more about taking a side in the Holy War than a site run by fans of a school that couldn’t care less about a rivalry in the state of Utah? — going absolutely bonkers as they search for confirmation of their conspiracy theories is just too amusing not to indulge.
