UCLA Football: Josh Rosen, Fan Of Golf, Not of Donald Trump

UCLA Football quarterback Josh Rosen made a political statement while golfing and it seems he is not a fan of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Rarely do sports and politics cross over, but when they do, it seems to grab a lot of attention. That is what is happening right now with UCLA Football QB Josh Rosen after being photographed playing golf, though his take to the greens comes with a bit of a twist.

This morning, SB Nation released the news of Rosen playing golf at the Trump National Golf Club in Palos Verdes, CA. SB Nation noted that Rosen geotagged his picture, varifying the validity of his location.

The twist in all of this comes from what he was wearing. Rosen was decked out in normal golf apparel, though his hat displayed a message about Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

If you look closely, Rosen is wearing a hat that states, “F*ck Trump.” So that is happening.

This is quite a ballsy move by a soon-to-be sophomore quarterback, though he is not new to garnering attention off the field. Rosen recently got the attention of college football fans when he put a hot tub in his dorm.

And now for the fallout.

This will be an interesting storyline for UCLA Football (which is preparing for their Spring Showcase in two weeks) as they will have to prepare how to handle this situation with the media.

Knowing Head Coach Jim Mora, he will pay this no mind as his focus is solely on football, but that does not mean the focus of Rosen’s dislike for Trump will disappear.

Either way, I think it is safe to say that the UCLA Football record holder will not be supporting the outlandish candidate that has stirred controversy throughout his campaign. Go Bruins! Go Rosen!
