In episode 93 of the What’s Bruin Show, we give props to UCLA Women’s Basketball, talk about the future of Men’s Basketball and recap Day 1 of Spring Practice for UCLA Football.

In this latest episode, hosts Bill Shirley, Jake Merrifield and I cover all the basics with UCLA Women’s and Men’s Basketball and UCLA Football as we head into spring.

To start, we recap the amazing season of the UCLA Women’s Basketball team. We briefly chronicle their journey from NIT Champions to NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 contenders.

Despite losing to Texas in an all-put battle in the Bridgeport Regional, the Bruins had a remarkable run this year under Head Coach Cori Close, which we project will propel this team to further greatness in the next few years.

We then talk UCLA Football and recap Day 1 of Spring Practice. We tell you about Mora’s press conference and what position changes were made.

In addition to our football segment, we then talk to Go Joe Bruin writer Michael Hanna as he discusses the risks of the changes UCLA Football is making to the offense.

This is in support of his recent article The Philosophical Gamble That Could Define The Jim Mora Era of UCLA Football. Both the article and conversation are insightful to the pros and cons of UCLA going from a spread to a power offense.
