The UCLA Basketball team needs a big win against Arizona State or they will fall deeper into their self-made pit of despair.

We have a battle Ladies and Gentlemen! The 10th place team in the Pac-12 Conference against the 11th place team… this should be epic! Or it should be the continuation of the fall of the UCLA Basketball team.

At this point, the Bruins need to run the table to change the perception of their season, because if they do not, they will not only miss the NCAA Tournament, but the NIT as well.

UCLA has seven games remaining and at best they can finish 11-7, but that is going to be a challenge with games at Cal and Stanford and at home against Pac-12 leader Oregon. But first, they have to deal with those pesky Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe.

UCLA beat Arizona State at Pauley Pavilion last month, but just barely. After shocking Arizona, the Bruins once again played down to their opponent (ASU) and needed a late push to finish off the cellar dwelling Sun Devils.

Things are little different this time around as UCLA is struggling to stay relevant, especially after blowing the game against Arizona on Friday night. Also on that night, ASU defeated #23 USC (HA!) at home, so this will indeed be an interesting game.

Can UCLA play an entire game like they did in the first half against Arizona and annihilate ASU, or will we see more inconsistency and have the Bruins struggle once again?

Unfortunately, it seems that it will be more of a struggle than it should be in an ugly win.

Prediction: UCLA 83 – ASU 82
