UCLA Football piles onto an already great recruiting class with another big pickup at wide receiver in Adewale Omotosho

The Bruins get a big commitment from Plano (East), Texas 3-star WR Adewale Omotosho. UCLA beat out the likes of TCU and SMU for his signature, who both made a strong push for him, but in the end he decided to make the trek out to Westwood.

The Omotosho commitment solidifies an already rock solid Texas pipeline that continues to pay dividends for the Bruins. Jim Mora and Co. know how important it is to recruit the Lone Star state well, and Omotosho’s commitment is only the most recent example of this.

Omotosho has been a relatively under-the-radar type recruit throughout the cycle, but he has all the physical tools to be a stud in the revamped UCLA offense under Kennedy Polamalu. He has a good mix of size and speed and could end up being a slightly faster version of Jordan Payton.

The coaching staff has been prioritizing his recruitment for some time now and they must feel ecstatic about getting a guy of his caliber from an area full of schools that usually pluck up all the good local talent.

Omotosho is joining a very deep group of receivers in the 2016 class, a group that has a lot of speed at the top with Theo Howard, Damian Alloway, and Demetric Felton.

They just received their jack-of-all-trades WR in Omotosho and you just know that Josh Rosen is smiling from ear to ear thinking about all the weapons he’s going to have for the next couple years.
