The Bracket

Here I have assembled a possible outcome for the NCAA Tournament. Starting with the four #1 seeds, I estimated who are the top four teams in the nation and what region they would conceivably end up in.

As of now, the four #1 are Oklahoma, Villanova, Kansas and Xavier. This is the easy part. From there is where I started inserting the lesser ranked teams. Though it is conceivable to have a four #2 seeds line up, the closer I get to the lower seeds, the more strenuous it became to place each team in a appropriate seeding and region.

The formula used will be explained in the next slide, but from this, you can see how difficult it can become for the Tournament Selection Committee to complete their task.

Not to mention factoring in “bubble teams” and the “last four out”.
