UCLA Football: The Mazzones Are Heading To Texas A&M
It was reported a few days ago that UCLA Football Offensive Coordinator Noel Mazzone was offered the job at Texas A&M and has today been confirmed that he has accepted the job.
The UCLA Football team constantly seems to be in transition. Last year, Head Coach Jim Mora had to replace Defensive Coordinator Jeff Ulbrich after leaving for the Atlanta Falcons and brought in long time Penn State DC Tom Bradley.
Well it looks like Mora is going to have to do the same for the offensive coordinator position this year as reports seem to have been confirmed that Noel Mazzone is leaving the Bruins for the same spot with the Texas A&M Aggies.
Mazzone will apparently receive a three-year contract to be the new Aggie OC.

In addition to that, UCLA quarterbacks coach, Taylor Mazzone (Noel’s son) will apparently be joining his father in College Station, though it is uncertain what role he will play in the Texas A&M coaching staff.
This season, both Mazzones were under a lot of scrutiny for their apparent lack of development and game planning. The UCLA Football team finished with a disappointing 8-5 record that ended with loses to USC in the Crosstown Showdown and Nebraska in the Foster Farms Bowl.
The offensive production (or lack of) was something that many Bruin fans thought needed a change and in the process, the elder Mazzone became a less popular figure. With both coaches moving on, so can UCLA as Mora tries to take them to the next level.
As for UCLA, Mora now has to go through the arduous task of searching and hiring a new offensive coordinator. This is going to be interesting because Mazzone has been with Mora ever since he took over the UCLA Football program four years ago.
