UCLA Basketball Enters the Top 25 After a Win Against Gonzaga

The UCLA Basketball team has entered the AP Top 25 poll at #22 for the first time in the 2015-16 season.

Good things happen when you beat two Top 25 teams in nine days. For the men of the UCLA Basketball team, that comes in the form of a #22 ranking in this week’s AP Top 25 poll.

Despite a season opening loss to Monmouth at Pauley Pavilion, the Bruins have righted the ship 10 games in as they are now 7-3 with two games to go before Pac-12 Conference play.

Part of that includes two big victories against two teams that have had UCLA Basketball’s number lately.

Last season, Kentucky wrecked UCLA in the CBS Sports Classic, 83-44, in which the Bruins were held to a historic low 7 first half points. That changed this last December 3 as the Bruins avenged their loss as they took down then-#1 Kentucky at Pauley Pavilion.

The Bruins continued to show progress this past Saturday when they claimed their biggest road win in the Steve Alford era as they beat then-#20 Gonzaga.

This is after the Bulldogs twice beat UCLA last season with the second coming in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

It now seems that the Bruins have some Fight Fight Fight in them after all.

Since returning from the Maui Invitational 1-2, UCLA Basketball has come together to play a more unified game on offense and defense.

Because of that, the Bruins are on a four-game win streak as they head into contests against Louisiana-Lafayette and North Carolina. Despite a slow start, it is no better time then now for the Bruins to put together a solid plan of attack.
