Where Will UCLA Football Go Bowling?

The UCLA Football team might have had an underwhelming regular season that ended with a loss to their crosstown rival USC, but it is not over. The Bruins still have a bowl to play, but where will they go?

The Bruins are going bowling, although the UCLA Football team will not be heading to one of the bigger bowls as many hoped. As of now, they are not confirmed for any bowl and we might not find out which one until after the result of the Pac-12 Championship Game between USC and Stanford.

Still, several bowls are already making their selections and the Bruin’s post-season path is getting slimmer. As the 6th place team in the Pac-12, it was assumed UCLA would be heading to the bowl tied in to that position, which would be the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl.

Now that would be a decent bowl for the Bruins and their fans, but unfortunately there is a snag in those plans.

As Joey Kaufman of the Orange County Register had tweeted out, BYU has accepted a bid to the Las Vegas Bowl, and that probably bumps tbe Bruins from the second bid as they do not want a repeat game. BYU played UCLA on Spetember 19 with the Bruins winning 24-23.

Understandable, but unfortuante. Though the Las Vegas Bowl executives are not ruling it out, it seems as if UCLA Football is destined for another bowl. But which one?

All signs seem to point to the Bruins heading north to Santa Clara for a December 26 showdown in the Foster Farms Bowl.

Sure, it’s not glitzy Vegas, which is less appealing for fans, but as for the team, it is another chance to go out and Fight Fight Fight! It is not the end UCLA Football hoped for, but it is one final game to show what this Bruin team is made of. Stay with Go Joe Bruin as we keep you updated on UCLA Football’s post-season adventures.
