In this edition of What’s Bruin 2, we talk about the Game That Was as UCLA got a shut out, their first since 2007, as they pulverized the Oregon State Beavers up in Corvallis.

In this episode of What’s Bruin 2 – The Game Review, hosts Bill Shirley and Jake Merrifield talk about the UCLA Bruin‘s epic win over the Oregon State Beavers and how much of a complete game they played on both sides of the ball.

The conversation is started with a little bit of rational complaining in regards to the Pac-12 Network’s availability because basically, there is none.

Anyway, the show moves on as WBS talks about how freshman QB Josh Rosen had adjusted to the weather and was able to formulate an effective attack that pierced the OSU defense for 333 passing yards. Additionally, the offensive line was solid, Paul Perkins had several decent runs and Thomas Duarte was a touchdown scoring machine.

Just as well, there was some power to the Bruin’s defense as they disallowed any score by the Beavers. Individually, Takkarist McKinley was highly effective as a pass rusher while John Johnson, Jaleel Wadood and Randall Goforth helped out the pass defense with three interceptions.

It was a great win overall and we are relieved, but we all know there is a lot more football to be played, especially with the pesky Washington State Cougars coming to the Rose Bowl next weekend.
