UCLA Football Head Coach Jim Mora gave an update on several recent injuries, especially two at the running back spot.
Jim Mora is usually quiet on the status of his injured players but this morning he gave the media an update on five UCLA Football players that have sustained injuries in the last two weeks.
One of the more crucial injuries was to starting RB Paul Perkins who left the Cal game right before halftime. Perkins had injured his knee on a red zone run and did not return to the game. An MRI was taken on his knee and showed no ligament damage.
Per Jack Wang of InsideSoCal.com, Mora said that Perkins, along with back-up RB Nate Starks, are both “on track” to play against Colorado. Starks had suffered a head injury against Stanford and did not play against Cal.
The status of WR Devin Fuller is still unknown. Fuller had a 100-yard receiving, 2 TD perrormance before having to exit the Cal game with a head injury. Mora had not confirmed if it was a concussion.
There is still no word on the status of LB Isaauko Savaiinaea who suffered a leg injury last Thursday.
Though it was not confirmed they would play, Mora did dI’d say that LT Coonor McDermott and LB Deon Hollins have practiced all week.
