In Episode 71 of the What’s Bruin Show, we recap The Game That Was against the Virginia Cavaliers and look ahead to The Game That Will Be against UNLV. We also talk about some kid named Rosen.

In this latest episode, hosts Bill Shirley, Jake Merrifield and I give a broader review of the UCLA Football victory over Virginia. We get into what worked (Josh Rosen), what impressed us (Josh Rosen), how we can be more successful in the future (Josh Rosen) and what made us sad (Eddie Vanderdoes).

It was an impressive game, which you can read about all through Go Joe Bruin, but you need to listen to this episode to really get the feel of what freshman QB Josh Rosen did in his first collegiate start.

We then go over to the other side of the ball and discuss the new UCLA Football defense led by Defensive Coordinator Tom Bradley. Hear our thoughts on the defense!

We then get into the UNLV game with a special twist. Instead of us talking about the UNLV Rebels, we went straight to the source! We were able to talk to Mark Anderson, UNLV beat writer for the Las Vegas Review-Journal! He gives us more information on the Rebels than we ever could!

We then talk to Shereen Rayan of Zona Zealots to talk about some Pac-12 football after the first week of play!
