What’s Bruin Show – Episode 66 – UCLA Football Is Almost Here!


In Episode 66 of the What’s Bruin Show podcast, we talk about the return of UCLA Football as we get into Pac-12 Media Day, Preseason Polls and Fall Camp in San Bernardino.

In this latest episode, hosts Bill Shirley, Jake Merrifield and I talk about anything and everything UCLA Football! Yes Bruin fans, the season is almost here and we get into some deep conversation leading up to the first game of the season against Virginia on September 5 at the Rose Bowl.

We start off with news and notes from Pac-12 Media Day and talk about the perception of the Bruins going into 2015 and compare it with that of those expectations to start the 2014 season. We then get into some heavy talk about preseason polls and where the Bruins should be in relation to the Pac-12 Conference.

We then talk about the new Vice President of Officiating for the Pac-12, David Coleman, and discuss what problems the conference needs to address.

If you did not know by now, Fall Camp for UCLA Football begins this coming Monday, August 10 as the Bruins head to Cal State San Bernardino to officially begin the preseason. The three big topics we cover: freshman QB Josh Rosen, new defensive coordinator Tom Bradley and this year’s breakout players.

We then talk to Go Joe Bruin writer and recruiting specialist Michael Hanna as he tells us a little bit about the UCLA Football recruiting process and how it has been affected with coach Adrian Klemm missing three months of work. We even have a little basketball talk for you!
