UCLA Football Makes The Top 7 For Athlete Chase Lucas

A few days ago, 6’0″, 170 lbs. 4-star athlete Chase Lucas out of Chandler High School in Arizona, they same school both Brett Hundley and Paul Perkins went to, cut his college selection down to seven schools and UCLA made the list. The Bruins are in contention for receiver/cornerback’s services along with Arizona, Arizona State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Texas and Washington.

More from Go Joe Bruin

Lucas has experience on offense and defense and plays exceptionally well where ever he is on the field, but seeing as he is being heavily recruited by Bruin offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone and receivers coach Eric Yarber, it looks like UCLA football has an offensive future in mind for Lucas.

Lucas, who is apparently in no hurry to select a school, is part of the 2016 class. Currently he is the #2 athlete in Arizona and #15 overall.

If Chase does commit to the Bruins, he will be the fourth receiver to give his pledge to play for UCLA after Demetric Felton, Dymond Lee and Darian Owens already have. That would be very good news, especially with the Bruins only landing one WR in 2015, Cordell Broadus.

Though thoughts and attitudes change about committing through the entire process, for what it is worth, Bruin Report Online has UCLA, ASU and Washington as his top three with medium level of interest. All other schools are at a low level of interest.
