UCLA Football: Kicker Ka’Imi Fairbairn Named To The Lou Groza Award Watch List
UCLA Football kicker Ka’Imi Fairbain has been named to the Lou Groza Award watch list. The award honors the top college football kicker in the nation.

It has just been announced that polarizing UCLA football kicker Ka’Imi Fairbairn has received a preseason honor as he was named to the Lou Groza Award watch list. The senior is part of a 30-player list that was released this morning by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission.
UCLA Bruins
In 2014, Fairbairn had a rocky start to his season but greatly improved as they year went on. Fairbairn is currently riding a streak of 29 straight field goals from 35 yards or closer. On the season, Fairbairn made 18 of 22 FG attempts (82%).
According to UCLABruins.com, Fairbairn is 6th on the UCLA all-time field goal list with 68 and 5th in career scoring with 306 points.
Aside from aiming for records, Fairbairn will look to improve his game as he will be heavily relied upon next season. With UCLA in one of the toughest conferences and divisions in the nation, games will be a lot closer, which means Fairbairn is going to have to be prepared for anything.
This is the fifth a award watch list UCLA football has received. Jake Brendel was named to the Rimington Award watch list, Kenny Clark and Myles Jack were named to the Bednarik Award watch list, Paul Perkins was named to the Maxwell Award watch list and Jack and Ishmael Adams were named to the Hornung Award watch list.
