USC 0 – UCLA 2, Regular Season

Oh how sweet this victory was. Not only were the Bruins victorious, but they beat their crosstown rival USC in front of a NCAA attendance-record breaking crowd.

This win was not only huge because UCLA beat USC, that was a given. This victory was big because it capped off an entire season for the UCLA Women’s Soccer team as the #1 ranked squad in the nation. On top of that, the Bruins clinched the Pac-12 Conference title with this game. And that is not all!

Goaltender Katelyn Rowland tied the All-Time NCAA record for shutouts while Kylie McCarthy scored twice in the game to give the Bruins the victory.

And to do it on the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum pitch in front of the Trojan home crowd… it was priceless.
