Bruin Report Online Claim Graduate Assistant Scott White Has Been Promoted To Linebackers Coach

As one of the best and closest sources to UCLA Athletics, Bruin Report Online has once again released some information on the Bruins potentially filling their open coaching spots. After former defensive Jeff Ulbrich left and special teams coach Mike Tuiasosopo was let go (both were co-linebacker coaches), the Bruins were left with three spots to fill. Well it now looks as if one of those positions no longer has a vacancy as graduate assistant Scott White will apparently be taking the reins of LB coach.

Aside from his work with the defense, White has been praised as a solid recruiter and was one of the deciding factors for Georgia linebacker Roquan Smith to choose UCLA. Since Smith has not and will not sign a National Letter of Intent, there is speculation that the Bruins could still be a final destination for him to play. Smith flipped his commitment to Georgia just over a week ago.

With this news, the Bruins only have the special teams and defensive coordinator positions remaining to fill. As reported a few days ago, UCLA is close to hiring former Penn State defensive coordinator Tom Bradley. Though Bradley was at West Virginia last season, he has had 10 years of experience as a DC during his time as Penn State. Currently, Bradley is going through an extensive vetting process by both head coach Jim Mora and UCLA.
