As far as Pac-12 teams in the College Football Playoff rankings, the Bruins are the second highest ranked team in the conference after the Oregon Ducks who are still nestled securely in the top four at #2. Because Arizona State lost to unranked Oregon State, the Sun Devils fall to #13, followed by Arizona at #15 and Utah at #17 after a monster win against Stanford. The USC Trojans also made an appearance in the Top 25 at #19 after barely beating a troubled Cal team.
After this weekend, the College Football Playoff should be shaken up a bit more as #9 UCLA plays host to crosstown rival #19 USC which has Pac-12 Championship Game implications.
