1st Quarter

More from UCLA Bruins Football

The first period was riddled with flags for UCLA. The Burins had 5 for 59 yards on the half. Other than that, the Bruins were doing a good job of establishing a run game. Both Paul Perkins and Bret Hundley were finding open spots on the field as they had 77 and 68 yards, respectively.

Oregon was getting pressured and did not score until a bad turnover by Hundley gave the Ducks a fumble at the Bruin 13-yard line. Marcus Mariota went to the outside on the right and saw nothing but end zone. The 1 quarter ended Oregon 8- UCLA 0.

2nd Quarter

The second started with the Bruins continuing a drive. It started with Hundley faking a miscommunication and getting an 8-yard reception. Myles Jack then came in for 3 carries to get UCLA into good position, though the Bruins had to settle for a field goal. Oregon 8 – UCLA 3

Oregon scored on their next drive when Thomas Tyner caught a 21-yard pass for the TD. On that drive, Eddie Vanderdoes threw a punch to draw a 15-yard penalty but luckily was not ejected. Oregon 15 – UCLA 3

At the end of that series, things were getting hot when defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich and head coach Jim Mora were going at it verbally on the sideline. Ulbrich had looked to tell Mora to handle the defensive responsibilities before Mora chased him down to calm him. Things did not look very composed for the Bruins.

The next UCLA possession ended with another missed field goal by Ka’imi Fairbairn.

On the next drive, Oregon scored again by chipping away at the Bruins. Oregon then missed the extra point. Oregon 21- 3.

The Bruins finally got on the board when the Bruins marched down the field to get to the red zone. The Bruins missed on two receptions so on third down, Oregon was sold on the pass. Hundley waited and ran in for the 16-yard TD. Oregon 21- UCLA 10
