UCLA Football Drops To #18 In The AP Poll After Loss To Utah, Other Pac-12 Teams Fall

Due to the abysmal performance of UCLA football in their 30-28 loss to the Utah Utes, the Bruins have fallen to #18 in the AP poll and in the #17 coaches poll. A week after having every part of their team functioning at a high-level as they beat Arizona State in Tempe, it seemed not one part of the Bruin’s squad was clicking this week. There were several things that plagued them, but the most dreadful stat was the 10 sacks on Brett Hundley.

Although this is a bad loss, it is not exactly shocking in perspective to what just happened in the Pac-12, especially with the wacky day of college football we all experienced on Saturday. With Oregon losing on Thursday, the Stanford and USC loses had completed the conquest of the top four conference teams. With that, there are two new leaders of both division as Cal and Arizona top the North and South respectively. The biggest surprise is Arizona jumping all the way to #10 in the polls after deconstructing the indestructible Oregon Ducks.

What is even more interesting is the fact that so many top national teams fell on Saturday shifting the AP Poll around pretty heavily. With losses from Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Wisconsin and LSU, several new teams have taken over the Top 25.
