Due to his performance in UCLA’s season opener against the Virginia Cavaliers, senior linebacker Eric Kendricks was named both the Walter Camp National Player of the Week and the Pac-12 Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

More from UCLA Bruins Football

In the Bruins 28-20 victory that proved UCLA was more of a defensive threat than an offensive one, Kendricks totaled 17 tackles (5th in the nation) with six of those being solo. Kendricks added an interception which he took 37 yards for the Bruins third defensive and overall touchdown of the game. To to it off, he had a forced fumble which landed in the hands of teammate Randall Goforth who took it to the house for a 74-yard touchdown. This Kendricks guy is good!

Congratulations Mr. Kendricks. Here is to many more!

Go Bruins!
