UCLA Women’s Basketball: Bruins Drop One Spot in AP Poll
The UCLA Women’s Basketball team dropped in the AP Poll, but only one spot as they are now #10 in the nation.
The good news is that UCLA Women’s Basketball is still a Top 10 team. The bad news is they have only defeated one Top 10 team in eight attempts in the last two seasons.
The Bruins’ recent loss caused them to fall one spot in this week’s AP Poll from #9 to #10 after a succumbing to #6 South Carolina on Sunday. The Bruins had an early lead in the contest but could not match the intensity of USC and lost 66-57.
The Bruins are 8-2 on the season and have now been ranked in the Top 25 for eight consecutive weeks. UCLA wraps up the non-conference season on Tuesday, December 20 at North Carolina A&T, which also completes a three-game road trip for the Bruins.
The UCLA Women’s Basketball team then begins Pac-12 play on Friday, December 30 back in the safe confines of Pauley Pavilion as the Utah Utes come to town.
