Despite a few shake ups in the poll, the Bruins are unchanged at #16 after big wins over Pacific and CSUN.

The UCLA Basketball team started their season on a Friday with a drubbing of Pacific, 119-80. Last night, they started slow against CSUN, but used a 62-point s done half burst to put away the Matadors, 102-87.

UCLA is playing a fast, focused style of style of basketball, one that utilizes a lot of outside shots and fast-breaks. So far it is clicking, though UCLA need a full half against CSUN to get into the flow.

One concern is the defense. UCLA allowed 76.7 points per game. This season, they have allowed 83.5 to be put up on them. It is a minimal concern, but one that should be addressed before the Bruins get to the meat of their schedule.
