With a 3-5 record heading into the bye week, the UCLA Football team does not have a lot to play for, though there is still a few things they can achieve.

The UCLA Football team never thought they would be in this position. They were supposed to be at the top of the South Diviison and in the hunt for a Pac-12 Championship this season.

That is not the case now. UCLA is struggling to find some answers in a year that has fallen apart every weekend. So it is a good thing the Bruins do not play this weekend.

Next up for the Bruins is a cold November weeknight in Boulder as UCLA  travels to face Colorado next Thursday.

What looked like simply a trap game at the beginning of the season is looking more and more like an automatic “W” for the Buffs who are currently sitting atop the South with a 4-1 conference record.

Things are not going to get easier for UCLA. They are not winning the South, but they can win in other areas.

First off, the Bruins need to get to 6 wins. Celebrating a bowl berth should never be a goal, but after this season, it will be welcomed.

Next, UCLA needs to beat USC. Bring that Victory Bell home and the Bruins will have a little bit of breathing room going into the off-season and next year. Nt too mention a leg up with some recruits.

Third, the Bruins need to win whatever lower-tiered bowl they get into. UCLA has showed resilience in fighting to the end of games (despite losses) and they should fight to the end of the season.

It is unfortunate we waited a whole summer for the NEW UCLA Football team and this is where they are at, but there are still four (hopefully five) games left. No matter what, they are still our Bruins and they need our support. Go Bruins!
