Yours truly once again talked with Mark Rogers of MarkRogersTV to discuss one of the biggest games on this epic opening weekend of college football.

The UCLA Bruins and the Texas A&M Aggies have only met four times, but with both teams looking for early season victories and a chance to have their conference shine in this Pac-12-SEC showdown, all eyes will be on this midday contest.

The Bruins have some talent with their super sophomore QB Josh Rosen, but will also have a powerful run game with Bolu OlorunfunmiNate Starks and Soso Jamabo. The only question mark with the offense is if their young and inexperienced receivers.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Bruins will look to shore up their run defense as they play out of a 4-3 set. The Aggies may try to run, but their strength in new offensive coordinator (and former UCLA OC) Noel Mazzone‘s offense is the passing game.

FYI, the Bruins were the best pass defense team in the Pac-12 last season which means they could potentially give new Aggie QB Trevor Knight a bad debut if he tries to throw against the Bruins.

These are just one of many topics I discuss with Rogers as we analyze the game that will be.
