At 6’7″, 225 lbs., Washington has a long, solid body. He has freakish athleticism and can take over a game on the both ends of the court. On offense he attacks the rim with his quickness and agility. He also has great body control when he is the flying through the air and can maneuver around defenders. On top of that he has great ball control and a beauty of an outside shot.

On defense he is very aggressive defending the ball down low. Washington is also a sensational shot blocker, as he not just stops shots, but sends them into the stands.

The Bruins have been successful recruiting players in the front court in the Steve Alford era. In 2014, the Bruins landed three 5-star front court players: Thomas Welsh, Kevon Looney and Jonah Bolden. This year, UCLA welcomes 5-star big men T.J Leaf and Ike Anigbogu.

For the 2017 class UCLA has secured a commitment from 4-star C

Jalen Hill

, the #15 center in 2017. Along with commits PG

Jaylen Hands

If Washington were to commit to the Bruins, there is a very good chance UCLA claims the top recruiting class for 2017, and a second consecutive top 5 class. It might have taken a while, but recruiting is finally going UCLA’s way. Let us hope it stays that way. Go Bruins!
