UCLA Football: Under Armour Makes Some Atrocious Notre Dame Uniforms, Is UCLA Next?

Under Armour has just unveiled new alternate uniforms for Notre Dame in their ‘Shamrock Series’. Is this ugly future waiting for the UCLA Football team?

I have seen the future and it is ugly. Seriously ugly. The worst part is that this could be the future for the UCLA Football team.

The Bruin’s newest retain supplier, Under Armour, has just revealed the new alternate uniforms for Notre Dame in what is being called the ‘Shamrock Series’ and it is horrifying. Let me begin by stating that I have nothing against using Irish traditions emblazoned all over this uniform.

I have family that is Irish and I respect everything about the culture, the problem is that somethings do not mix and the use of Irish themes on a football uniform makes these Notre Dame unis look like hiking apparel. I would not even put it past any one to go spelunking in clothes similar to these ND unis.

So could this be the future for UCLA Football?

UCLA recently landed a $280 million deal with Under Armour, making it the biggest college apparel deal in history. So are Bruin fans to expect uniforms of this caliber? Let us hope not.

It is funny how many Bruin fans complained about recent UCLA-Adidas alternate uniforms, which were not horrible, but if these Notre Dame unis are any indication of what UCLA is to expect with their future alternates, then Bruin fans are going to be very disappointed.

Now I am not saying that Under Armour is going to make an effort to destroy the UCLA uniform (especially after they take in the outcry of these horrendous ND atrocities), but they should take note of what has been expected from UCLA Football fans.

How long did it take Adidias to get the shoulder stripes correct? Well, seeing as this is the final year for Adidias to supply UCLA and they only just got the shoulder stripes on par, then I would say it is too little, too late. Please do not make the same mistake, Under Armour.
