In this episode, hosts Bill Shirley, Jake Merrifield and I discuss they epic bounce back game from UCLA as the beat Cal with impunity! UCLA grounded the Cal “Bear Raid” in a huge 40-24 win.

This was a game that UCLA needed to stay alive in the South Division race and now that they have this win, they are 2-2 and tied for second place in the South.

Though there were a few mistakes, every single part of this team had stepped up and stopped the Bears.

Josh Rosen had a historic night completing a record 34 passes en route to 399 yards through the air. Ka’Imi Fairbairn had also locked his name in UCLA Football history as he nailed a 60-yard field goal, breaking the record held by Chris Sailor.

The defense was phenomenal as they held back Jared Goff and his high flying Bears. We talk about the impact of certain players on defense and what this means going forward.

Although we do have some bad news as both Paul Perkins and Isaako Savaiinaea left the game with injuries and it is apparently “not good”.

Still, this was a big win and because of the idiotic Thursday games, UCLA has a few extra days to rest before their next contest.
