UCLA fall camp resumed after having Sunday off, the first in six days. Needless to say, it was a day full of lessons for all. There are a few more injuries than head coach Jim Mora would like, but good news is several are minor. There are also several freshmen stepping up and impressing the coaching staff. With two players being kicked out of practice, it was a less than stellar effort for the Bruins, at least by Mora’s standards.
The injury report: flu, shoulders and knee injuries, as well as concussions had plagued the Bruins, though several will return very soon.
So it looks like the desert heat is firing up the Bruins. Myles Jack and Craig Lee were both booted from practice. Mora was not pleased. He is making a statement early and is taking control of anything potentially getting out of hand. He also had something to say about it.
There were a few bright spots as young guns Adarius Pickett, Eldridge Massington, Alex Van Dyke and Kenny Young, just to name a few, are looking good in camp.
A few suspended Bruins are back, sort of.
Stay healthy and Go Bruins!
