Trent Perry might be the best player on UCLA’s roster. Ever since being inserted into the starting lineup he has been a huge boost to the team. His ability to shoot the 3-pointer as well as drive and make plays has been excellent. He is also elite at being able to draw fouls and get to the free-throw line. Proving to start to raise the questions of what if he decides to insert his name into the 2026 NBA Draft? We have seen many players over the years, even with a limited collegiate resume do it and have high success, such as Peyton Watson.

Indiana choked this away so hard. Shades of UCLA Gonzaga 2006

UCLA will have many players leaving after this year. Donovan Dent, Tyler Bilodeau and Jamar Brown to name a few that will graduate. The hope is that Skyy Clark will petition for one more year and have it approved and will return next year. But what will be left on this UCLA roster if that is the case? Do Xavier Booker and Eric Dailey Jr. return and if so, what are their roles? What will UCLA be able to do in the transfer portal to try and boost their roster?
Perry becomes a very intriguing name to watch. As his decision could mean a lot in what he does next. If he goes to the NBA, you lose your best player. Or if he does decide to come back to college, does he ultimately choose UCLA again? In an era of NIL, there could be a team out there with a lot to offer for the up-and-coming guard. Will UCLA have enough means and resources to keep him on the roster? A lot of questions to be answered.
Stay hot, Trent Perry! 🔥

UCLA will currently have five games to determine their NCAA tournament fate. Perry will need to continue to play his best basketball of the season to try and pull off an upset or two. But once the season concludes there will be some questions needed to be answered. Will Perry decide to run it back with UCLA or will he head to the NBA for another school for an opportunity?
