Trent Perry has been the best player on the Bruins roster since being inserted into the starting lineup with the Skyy Clark injury over a month ago. He has provided a spark for the team and helped them win multiple games. His presence has been noticed by many as he has been a breakout star for the team. Leading many to believe he can be an NBA player in the future. Also a key contributor to this team that looks to build on consistency for the rest of this season and also in the future. Especially with Clark possibly applying for another year of eligibility.
Trent Perry has quietly been having a breakout season for UCLA. The combo guard has stepped in seamlessly for Skyy Clark, becoming a two way guard who can score and defend

I broke down the film and the stats on UCLA's sophomore breakout @basket_review https://t.co/JVI2GsvDr5
Perry is a big-time player that can score the basketball at all levels. He can space the floor with his 3-point shot and create his own looks while drawing fouls on drives. Being a tremendous free throw shooter at 85.3% and doing so on 4.4 attempts per night. For the year he is averaging 12.6 points per game with 23 games played. 12 of those being starts. Proving is value in both situations and being ready to go when needed.
Perry played very sparingly his freshman year. Often as a spark plug on defense to help the team. This year he is one of the best players on the team and will be very important down this stretch for this team. As they are set to play a three-game stretch that may determine whether they make the NCAA tournament or not. His shot creation and ability to change the game with his scoring will be a key to this team. Even when Clark can return with his scoring and defense.
UCLA is about to face former center Aday Mara when the Bruins play No. 2 Michigan on Saturday, giving them a glimpse of a 7-footer who is starring in an expanded role. https://t.co/tu6MsBSbaR

Perry could be part of a three-guard set if Mick Cronin decides to start him with Donovan Dent and Clark. You have to think he will become more efficient with Clark in the lineup as well. He will open up the floor so well for the team. Also take a little bit of load off of the offense to help them out. Perry’s ceiling will continue to get higher and higher as his season continues on. It will be a sight to see.
