Senior night has come and gone for the UCLA women’s team. As they played their final regular season game at Pauley Pavilion together winning the Big Ten regular season title. They’ve come so far together as a team and have welcomed in the additions of Gianna Kneepkens and Charlisse Leger-Walker so well. This Bruins team is set to lose their top six players after this season. Putting the importance at stake that this is the best time ever to win a championship. This team is so good together and play with perfect chemistry.

UCLA moved to 27-1 on the season and 17-0 in Big Ten play with their 80-60 win over Wisconsin. With only one game left on the road against USC. The Bruins will look to move to 28-1 to finish out the regular season before being the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten tournament. The lone blemish being their Texas game earlier in the season. On a day where Lauren Betts battled an injury and UCLA struggled to generate good offensive looks.
The Bruins did not win this game going away like they have so many this season. Although a 20-point win is still a big margin. They shot 42% on the day and slowly cruised throughout the day. Instead of just steamrolling and coasting to the win. The defense continued to be phenomenal again as they held Wisconsin to under 40% shooting. While they struggled from 3-point range going 9-26. UCLA continued to dominate the points in the paint battle winning that 36-20.
Betts continued her great play with 19 points and 14 rebounds. The Bruins had five players and double digits and received a good contribution of 10 points from Angela Dugalić off the bench. Kiki Rice and Gabriela Jaquez were great on the perimeter for offense and defense. With USC up next, it is a good opportunity to work out the last of what they want to do before the tournament. Time to lock in and chase a banner!
