UCLA contributed to an historical night for Big Ten basketball

UCLA not only won but defeated their opponent by 40 points, as no Big Ten teams were upset on Nov. 15 and other Big Ten Ten teams defeated ranked opponents and prominent opponents.
Let's first look at the lesser-known victories from Friday night for certain Big Ten teams.
The Wildcats needed overtime and improved to 3-0 on their home court and their only loss this season was on the road when they lost to Dayton by five points.
With the victory, the Scarlet Knights remained undefeated with the win over Monmouth. It was also the first game for the future projected NBA lottery draft pick, who scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds in Rutgers' victory over the Hawks.
UCLA, with the win, remains undefeated at home and won their second straight game. The Bruins were led by Eric Dailey Jr.'s 17 points and 10 rebounds and sophomore center Aday Mara's 16 points and six rebounds.
Here are the two games that the Big Ten team's lost but were very competitive in against high quality opponents.
Maryland was leading No. 15 Marquette 34-30 at the half and was looking like they were going to pull off the upset and give the Golden Eagles their first loss of the season. However, Marquette took the lead in the second half and won by four.
Entering the game, Ohio State had defeated then No. 19 ranked Texas in the Hall of Fame Series game in Las Vegas. However, the Buckeyes went on the road and got their first season loss to No. 23-ranked Texas A&M.
Let's now start to look at some of the marquee wins by various Big Ten teams on this past Friday Night.
The Michigan Wolverines on their home court gave TCU their first loss of the season. The Wolverines also won the game by 12 points and held the Horned Frogs to under 65 points.
Penn State played very well in the Hall of Fame Series in Baltimore as they defeated Virginia Tech by 22 points. The win has allowed the Nittany Lions to start the season 4-0.
Iowa hosted Washington State and defeated the Cougars by ten, giving them their first loss of the season. The Hawkeyes with the victory, begins the season 4-0.
Here is a look at the biggest wins of the night by two Big Ten teams defeating two top ten ranked teams.
Wisconsin basketball is known for its defense, offensive efficiency, and ability to stay out of foul trouble. The Badgers hosted No. 9-ranked Arizona in a very high-scoring game that resulted in a 15-point upset victory for Wisconsin. In his sixth collegiate season, John Tonje had a career record of 41 points and made 21 out of 22 free throws he attempted. The Badgers are now 4-0 on the season.
The Purdue Boilermakers hosted the No. 2 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, and they found a way to pull off a slight upset, defeating Alabama by nine points. The Boilermakers are ranked No. 13, and the game was at home, so it was not a huge upset, but it was a very impressive non-conference win for Purdue. The Boilermakers were led by junior Trey Kaufman-Renn, who had a career-high 26 points along with eight rebounds.
