Skyy Clark was a large part of the UCLA Bruins team this year. You saw the impact that you had when he went out with a hamstring injury. The team struggled to space the floor and really missed his 3-point shooting and smart defense. He is a veteran player that UCLA really relies on. We now wait and see if he will be granted a fifth year of eligibility as he prepares his case. He only played 13 games his freshman year and will have the opportunity at one more season.
UPDATE: #UCLA senior guard Skyy Clark will seek a 5th year of eligibility.

Clark told me he’s been working with the university’s compliance office & assistant coach Nate Georgeton to submit the necessary files to the NCAA.
The basis of Clark’s argument is that he played only…
Clark most likely if he is granted that extra season will stay at UCLA. They’ve been helping him with the process to be able to talk to the NCAA about the petition. If it is accepted, that would be a huge positive for the Bruins. This is a team that is losing their top two scorers in Donovan Dent and Tyler Bilodeau and have now lost in the round of 32 for two straight years. With talent going out, you need to bring in players that are going to fill those voids.
Clark would be a good start to that and then whatever you can bring in through the transfer portal. Clark, Trent Perry and Eric Dailey Jr. all coming back would be a good trio to build around. Especially with a very talented player in Joe Philon coming in as a recruit. He is the 11th rank player in the state of Florida and the 71st ranked player in all of the nation. The Bruins also received commitment that fan favorite Eric Freeny will return next year, who will continue to get better.

Clark now is in a wait-and-see mode. After this season where he averaged 11.5 points on shooting splits of 46.9/42.7/82.1. That would be another huge loss if he was not granted another year of eligibility. With the team already needing to replace 31 points of production per game in Dent and Bilodeau. You do not want to have to replace another 11.5 points per game. Because then that opens up the opportunity that a guy like Perry could look into the portal if talent does not come in.
