Skyy Clark is an elite shooter. He can pull up and hit a 3-point shot or he can catch and shoot. He provides so much to the UCLA offense and helps to space the floor. Giving guys more opportunities to make plays and get the shots that they want. The floor at times looks congested when he is out of the game. Leading to the UCLA offense getter stagnant and looking to play iso ball. His ability to shoot from anywhere on the floor has to be respected by a defense.

Clark is currently shooting 48.2% from 3-point range this season. While being the top 3-point shooters in all of the Big Ten. UCLA needs to use that strength down the stretch. As we have mentioned, they are one of the best accuracy shooting teams in the nation. But unfortunately, their volume is not very high and they are not using it to their advantage. That is something that needs to change and they can build towards consistency. Clark is just the guy that’s up for the challenge.

UCLA finally has a team that can shoot good from 3-point range. Now it seems that they don’t understand how to operate having guys that can shoot. After last season where the floor was always congested. They need to get back to their level of defense they showed in the past while capitalizing on their shooting on offense. Don’t be allergic to putting up long-distance shots. If you know that you can hit them at a good clip.

By doing this, it is going to open up lanes for Donovan Dent. Who seems to play his best basketball when he is moving downhill. He is struggling with his shot this season but gets to the paint very well. An area where UCLA needs to get better at and try and keep pace with other teams and their paint play. Clark is a guy that will play a huge role down the stretch and continuing to space the floor out. Mick Cronin will need to find ways to get him more looks and then drive and kick to collapse a zone when faced against one.
