UCLA will be looking to replace the production that Tyler Bilodeau gave them at the power forward position. The averaged 17.6 points per game last season and has led the Bruins in scoring each of the last two years. It will not be an easy task for UCLA to go out and replace this. But there is plenty of talent that is filling up the transfer portal that they can bring some players in. It will be a collective effort between transfers and growth in returning players.
Sebastian Rancik just recently hit the transfer portal after a good year at Colorado. He will have two years of eligibility remaining and he has a guy that can score the basketball. Last year at Colorado he played in 29 games and averaged 12.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He only shot 40.4% from the floor and 33.1% from 3-point range but the opportunity for growth is there.

Bilodeau who UCLA is looking to find some production to fill in what he is leaving behind only shot 30% and 34.5% in his first two years at Oregon State. It wasn’t until he got to UCLA the last two years that he really grew his game to beyond the arc. So, you have to read between the lines when you see the percentages that these players shoot. Sometimes there are better systems that are suited for their games and can take them to the next level.

Rancik has the opportunity to stay for two years with a new team. That gives him a chance to grow under a new coaching staff and take his game to the next level. The NIL value should not be through the roof for him. Giving UCLA a good opportunity to go out and see if they can snag him to play the forward position. As they look to continue building their team to get past the round of 32 for the first time since 2023.
