Rhema Collins out of Florida International is an intriguing player who just hit the transfer portal. The CUSA Player of the Year had a tremendous 2025 season on both offense and defense. She now becomes a coveted player in the mix of transfer candidates. She began her first two years at Ole Miss playing sparingly in 25 games before her move to Florida International. It is quite possible that she could petition for an extra year of eligibility due to her limited playing time.
Collins is a legit offensive player that can get you a double double. This past season she averaged 17.7 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. She had 13 double doubles on the year with her best game coming against Georgia State where she had 40 points, 12 rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Her game is very multifaceted, and she is a really good defender as well. UCLA just won a championship because of how great their defense was.

Now with so many players graduating out to the WNBA. The Bruins will need to reinforce their team and Collins could be a great plug-in on offense and defense. She averaged 2.1 steals per game to go along with 1.4 blocks per game. At 6’2 she is not the tallest, but she affects the game in so many ways. Her presence could be huge to help build with Sienna Betts and Lena Bilić.

There is a lot of hype that is going around UCLA women’s basketball after winning the championship. This team knows they need to go out and replenish all the talent that is leaving. But with a championship banner going up and so many players going to the professional level. Future prospects know that UCLA gives them a good building block to get to the next level. We expect UCLA to retool this roster very well for Cori Close.
