The NCAA tournament run is now over for the UCLA Bruins. They end of the 2025 season as NCAA champions. Hanging their first championship banner as NCAA champions. It is their first championship since 1978 before it was called the NCAA. Now we look ahead to the WNBA draft where it is scheduled to be very busy for UCLA players. We start with their best player in Lauren Betts as CBS Sports projects her at No. 4 to the Washington Mystics.

This would be a very good spot for Betts to land. As she could immediately slot in as the defensive anchor and see how her offense translate to the professional game. But she is so far talented on the defensive end that she will not drop below this pick. It is very possible for her to go higher based on how teams feel on draft night. But the Mystics would get an absolute gift here at No. 4.

Betts had a generational NCAA tournament run. She was dominant on both ends of the floor and ended it in the championship game with a double double. She had the biggest block of the tournament on Madison Booker in the Final Four to seal that game. Teams were petrified to drive down the lane when they knew that she was there. Completely changing teams offensive flow. UCLA only gave up 44 points to Texas and 52 points to South Carolina.

Betts finished her UCLA career as one of the most decorated athletes of all time. She did everything on both ends of the floor and ends her career as the all-time blocks leader in school history. Her player efficiency rating was also a career of 38. The second highest Bruins of all time was Michaela Onyenwere at 28.9. The craziest part about it all is Betts did all of this in a lot less games than others.
